Job Description
GIS Consultant/Enterprise GIS Design and Development. Full time Contract 6-12 months and extendable remote/hybrid with 2 days a month in office remainder remote.
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking GIS Consultant to lead the design and development of our Enterprise GIS platform, with a focus on landbase, access roads, parcels, and other foundational datasets. This is a strategic role that blends technical expertise with data governance, modeling, and business insight to shape how spatial data drives decision-making across the organization.
Some of the things you'll do
Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise-scale GIS solutions using the Esri stack.
Design and build robust, scalable data models for complex geospatial datasets.
Establish governance frameworks and best practices for managing enterprise GIS data assets.
Ingest, process, and refine public datasets for internal business use while preserving original data integrity.
Conduct thorough data modeling, quality reviews, and assessments to ensure accuracy and usability.
Collaborate across teams to align GIS initiatives with broader business goals.
Manage projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations are met.
Meet in office 2 times a month for in person discussions and strategy sessions.
What you bring.. .
Proven experience with the Esri suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, etc.).
Deep expertise in data modeling , especially for large and complex geospatial datasets.
Strong background in data governance , including establishing standards and patterns for enterprise data management.
Ability to transform raw public data into actionable insights while maintaining source fidelity.
Exceptional skills in data quality assessment and review methodologies .
Excellent planning, communication, and project management capabilities.
A passion for solving spatial problems and driving innovation through GIS.
Ability to work full time M-F pacific time business hours and ability to be in office a minimum of 2 times a month for in person strategic meetings and planning sessions.
