Accounting Specialist Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Eastham, Massachusetts. This role offers flexibility with part-time or up to 40 hours per week, with 40 hours preferred. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform billing functions, including generating and sending invoices.
• Reconcile accounts to ensure financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Handle general accounting tasks, maintaining compliance with company policies.
• Utilize Sage software to manage accounting processes and maintain financial data.
• Conduct job cost analysis to track and control project expenses.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Prepare financial reports and provide insights into company finances.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency in general accounting practices and principles.
• Familiarity with Sage software and its accounting tools.
• Ability to perform job cost analysis and manage project-related expenses.
• Experience with credit card reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
