Preparer Community Action Committee of Cape Cod & Islands Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community while gaining valuable experience in tax preparation? Join our dedicated team as a VITA Tax Preparer and help low-income households navigate the tax season with confidence! As a VITA Tax Preparer, you?ll play a vital role in assisting individuals and families by providing expert federal and state tax preparation and support. You\'ll work directly with clients, ensuring they receive the financial relief they deserve, while meeting IRS certification and program standards. What You\'ll Do: Provide friendly, professional assistance in preparing federal and state tax returns for low-income households. Ensure clients understand their tax situation and feel confident in their financial decisions. Work as part of a passionate, community-focused team, helping those who need it most during tax season. What We\'re Looking For: Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate?s degree preferred. Experience: Prior experience in customer service or client-driven roles, with a familiarity of federal and state tax forms. Skills: Proficiency in computer operations, word processing, and database systems. Certification: Ability to meet IRS certification requirements to perform tax duties. What We Offer: Flexible, Part-Time Hours: Work approximately 20 hours per week, January through April. Competitive Compensation: \$21.16 per hour.
