Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with 3x12 schedule
\n• Additional shift available 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM as needed
\n• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
\n• Holiday coverage required when needed
\n• No call or standby requirements
\n• No floating requirements
\n• 2-day unit-specific orientation provided
\n• Any color scrubs permitted
\n• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
\n• 2 years of emergency room experience preferred
\n• Must have well-rounded ER experience
\n• Perform triage duties in designated triage room
\n• Care for pediatric and adult patients
\n• Handle common diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, lacerations
\n• Stabilize STEMI and stroke patients for transport
\n• Manage trauma cases and military patients
\n• Administer procedural sedation, TNK, and common ER drips
\n• Draw labs and perform patient care duties
\n• Read cardiac strips and monitor patients using SpaceLabs monitors
\n• Chart using Epic Systems Corporation EpicCare Inpatient EMR system
\n• BSN not required
\n• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility

This critical access hospital features a 10-bed emergency department with 2 trauma bays, treating an average of 35 patients daily. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services with 24/7 physician coverage, respiratory therapy, radiology services including X-ray and CT, and laboratory capabilities. The emergency department operates with one charge nurse who does not take patients, house supervisor coverage during nights, and security personnel on-site around the clock. The facility serves both civilian and military populations, offering stabilization services for complex cases before transfer to higher-level trauma centers.
