Job Summary
Our publicly traded client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will assist with the month end close process and provide technical accounting research on complex accounting areas. Responsibilities  

• Participate in the month-end close process, including the preparation and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance explanations
• Perform technical accounting research and process using GAAP research tools and the FASB codification; document accounting conclusions with relevant support
• Assist with accounting research, documentation, and implementation of new or enhanced accounting policies and subsequently monitor adherence to such policies.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and external regulations
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support.
• Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances and opportunities for improvement.
• Act as the subject matter expert for assigned areas of responsibility and interact with all levels of management regarding issues related to these specific areas.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new controls in response to process changes, system implementations, or identified deficiencies from internal/external audits.

 
 
Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
• CPA or CPA track
• Public Accounting background preferred 
• Accounting research skills
