We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a Contract to permanent position ideal for an individual with strong attention to detail and extensive experience in payroll processes and compliance. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities:
• Process weekly payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data within the payroll system.
• Ensure adherence to tax laws by preparing and filing payroll tax reports efficiently.
• Compile and manage prevailing wage and Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) reports.
• Coordinate with Human Resources and Accounting to reconcile payroll, benefits, and deductions.
• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees with professionalism and clear communication.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and effectively.
• Support audits, year-end reporting, and special projects related to payroll.
• Evaluate payroll processes regularly, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.• Minimum of 5 years of payroll administration experience, with preference for candidates from the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with prevailing wage reporting and Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to confidentiality.
• Adaptability to changing circumstances and ability to handle challenges proactively.
