Pallet Builder

We are hiring for a pallet builder on the Southside of Jacksonville. The Pallet Builder is responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining wooden pallets used for shipping and storage. This position involves working with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment to meet production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Pay: $15-18, depending on experience.

Dayshift Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and assemble wood components to build new pallets according to specifications.
• Inspect and repair damaged pallets using nail guns, hammers, and saws.
• Sort and stack finished pallets for shipment or reuse.
• Operate tools and machinery safely, including saws, nail guns, and forklifts (if certified).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or defective equipment.
• Meet daily production targets and quality standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior experience in pallet building, carpentry, or a related trade is a plus but not required training available.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Good physical stamina; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced, industrial or warehouse environment.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.
