Star Shuttle & Charter is a family-owned transportation company proudly serving Texas for over 30 years. We operate a modern fleet of buses and motorcoaches for charters, tours, and scheduled services. We're currently seeking skilled Bus Mechanics to join our full-time maintenance team and help keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.
Job SummaryAs a Bus Mechanic, you'll perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on buses, motorcoaches, and related equipment. You'll work in a fast-paced shop environment where safety, reliability, and teamwork are top priorities.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and inspections on buses and motorcoaches
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Repair engines, brakes, transmissions, HVAC systems, and other components
Conduct road tests and post-repair evaluations
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards
Collaborate with drivers and dispatch to address vehicle concerns
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel or heavy vehicle maintenance (bus experience preferred)
Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Must have own tools
Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
$5,000 sign-on bonus (conditions apply)
